After the departure of Mammoth School Superintendent Rich Boccia and the appointment of Interim Superintendent Lou Stewart, officials launched a search for a new school leader. Now at the end of their search, Mammoth School Board members are poised for a selection.
Last week, the school board spent time with finalists in the field of applicants. They narrowed their search down to a site visit, and today at 4pm the Board planned to meet in closed session to consider employment of a Superintendent.
This decision follows a some two-month process that included the Mono County Office of Education’s work on a superintendent search and a series of community input forums.
It is possible the School Board will announce the name of the new Superintendent Monday night following the closed session. We will keep you updated.
