inyosups 1-4-11Our boards of supervisors have scheduled meetings for this week. Today, the Inyo Supervisors planned a special meeting at 9am in the boardroom.  The County Administrator planned to ask the Supervisors to okay an amendment to the exclusive negotiation agreement with Joseph Enterprises.

Inyo County wants to negotiate construction and leasing of a county consolidated office building in Bishop.  The amendment would extend Phase 1
to February 28, 2012.

A regular board meeting happens Tuesday in both Inyo and Mono.  In fact, both Boards of Supervisors will talk about a measure that deals with California counties performing more state-mandated services and getting state funds for those services.  This issue looms large for all counties, and MONO COURTHOUSEGovernor Brown has plans for this issue too.

The Mono Board may authorize the annual contract between the Mono Sheriff’s Department and the Forest Service for enforcement of laws against trafficking of drugs on Forest lands.

Also from the Sheriff’s Department – a resolution of appreciation for Officer Dave O’Hara who will retire.

The Board will consider an employment contract for County Counsel Marshall Rudolph.  The cost for the new year amounts to $248,474 for salary, retirement and benefits.

Mammoth Lakes Tourism Director John Urdi will talk to the Board about air service research results.  Urdi will also ask the Board to participate in an Air Alliance committee and to confirm when they will allocate an air service guarantee in the new fiscal year budget.
