MCWD: Report says water meets quality standards

MCWD news release Mammoth Community Water District Consumer Confidence Report on Water Quality in 2017 is Now Available The Mammoth Community Water District’s Consumer Confidence Report on water quality during 2017 is now available at the District’s reception and permit desks and at the Mammoth Lakes Public Library. The report can also be viewed or downloaded from the District’s website, http://www.mcwd.dst.ca.us/assets/ccr2017.pdf. Water delivered by the MCWD in 2017 met all state and federal water quality standards. The report includes detailed information regarding the community’s water supplies such as where your water comes from, what constituents were detected in 2017, and how it compares to state and federal standards. For questions about the Consumer Confidence Report, please contact the District during normal business hours at (760) 934‐2596.

MCWD’s Rob Motley earns state honor

Press release California Water Environment Association recognizes MCWD Employee  Rob Motley as 2017 Electrical/Instrumentation Person of the Year  The Mammoth Community Water District’s Robert Motley, Plant Maintenance/Instrumentation Supervisor, is being recognized by California Water  Environment Association (CWEA) as the 2017 Electrical/Instrumentation Person of the  Year. Clay Murray, Operations Superintendent, nominated Rob Motley for the award in   October. “Rob is one of those guys that just solves problems and gets things done. Rob’s  commitment to excellence is what makes him an All‐Star and why we are lucky to have  him on our team. It’s an honor to have one of our staff be recognized by the Sierra  Section of the CWEA and I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Rob Motley.” Rob started with the MCWD as a contract employee in 2001 and became full time in  2009. The Plant Maintenance Department, which Rob supervises, is responsible for the  maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment including automated industrial  control systems, pump motors, industrial communication systems, water and  wastewater treatment plant equipment, and general building maintenance. “Rob enjoys and takes pride in improving the infrastructure of MCWD facilities; he has a  knack for understanding where upgrades are needed throughout the system and how to  implement them.  I enjoy coming to work every day, a big part of that is because of his  influence, depth of knowledge, and willingness to share it with the rest of us,” said Keith Weiland, who has worked for Rob for over nine years.
