After a delay, the Standing Committee of Inyo and Los Angeles officials will meet next Monday in Independence. Those from both sides of the table have admitted that the group has accomplished very little, but they keep meeting.

Their agenda once more includes an item to document the Stand Committee responsibilities, this – eleven years after signing the water agreement.

Also on the agenda – an update on the Lower Owens River Project, a report on revisions of rules to manage groundwater pumping, updates on other projects, a report on land releases and a report on the Owens Lake groundwater study request for proposals.

The Inyo-LA Standing Committee meeting, now set for Monday, August 11th at the Supervisors’ Board Room in Independence at 1pm.
